My name is Christina Young, and I’m a mother of seven year-old twin-boys, and a four year-old daughter, all of which are autistic. As a photographer for over a decade, I’ve worked to capture other people’s stories through moments in time, enhanced with editing to create timeless portraits of emotional significance. My work in storytelling here will share our journey through images and our real life experiences. You can also follow us on instagram at @twinningwithautism. Below are links to my writing, and my photography websites. Thank you for being here. Although my blog contributions have been quiet over the last year while I’ve worked on a memoir and children’s book, I’m still actively engaging with other parents frequently, and am always here to lend a listening ear when needed. XO
TwinningwithAutism is the story of our family’s journey having twin boys, and a daughter on the Autism Spectrum. We found the first two years of the diagnosis to be overwhelming, lonely, confusing, but full of collateral beauty. Once we were able to shift our perspective to see this incredible gift the diagnosis actually was - where we, as parents, could learn about how our children needed to be taught, guided, and loved from a truly early age, while working with professionals who knew exactly what they needed - it was a game changer. I’m hoping that by sharing our story, it can bring perspective to others going through similar circumstances, and awareness to those who may have not experienced it before. As a photographer, you will find that much of our story is told through imagery, so I encourage you to follow on instagram at @twinningwithautism as well.

THE Enneagram
And Neurodiversity
THE Enneagram
And Neurodiversity
The Enneagram is a dynamic personality system that reveals the motivations, fears, and thought patterns driving human behavior. Represented by a nine-pointed diagram, the Enneagram identifies nine unique personality types, each reflecting a distinct way of perceiving the world and interacting with others. Christina has studied the enneagram since 2022, and began sharing what she’s learned in 2024 because she found such value in its wisdom. Her application to how it can help the neurodiversity community comes from decades of studying human behavior and communication.
