There is something so beyond beautiful when it comes to working with newborns. And not just with newborn baby girls... many of the newborn boys I've worked with over the last few months have been just as gorgeous... especially Baby C. P. who's about to be featured below. His innocent smile, perfect little nose, and barely there lashes were just too adorable for words. And when his mom brought out the one Pinterest pose she thought was worth trying with the teddy bear, I couldn't say no!!! Baby C.P. held on tight to his teddy, and was a peaceful as a lamb. I just loved his session. Especially that he was awake for the first bit, allowing for those big baby blues to show, and then fast asleep for the many close-ups and poses that completed the session. I wish his parents millions of moments of joy, and have no doubt in my mind that they will find them watching this charming boy grow. Introducing Baby C. P.
This gorgeous newborn was so phenomenal to work with! She had the giggles when I first met her, and then when it was time for her to sleep - she was out and totally willing to pose. She is so absolutely beautiful! And when Mom asked if we could work in the other love of their life, their first baby Mr. Oakley (their awesome goldendoodle), I said OF COURSE! I hope you enjoy this little one's blog post as much as I enjoyed taking her photos! Without further ado... Introducing Baby A.... xo
What a fun wedding reception was Tina & Pat's reception at The Holiday Inn in Nashua, NH. Tina & Pat are dear friends of two of my favorite people- Jon & Biz, who actually got married a year ago to the date of Tina & Pat's reception! The best part? Jon & Biz's wedding was my first official wedding that I photographed! And it was such an awesome sense of de ja vu to see so many familiar faces in the groomsmen crowd from the year before. Both weddings had AWESOME people. Genuinely fun and fantastic friends and family - you just can't help to have fun. Oh, and did I mention, there was a pirate ship? Because there was. Yes, you read that right- Pirate ship!
Because Tina & Pat got married in Mexico, they decided to bring the awesome party home to New Hampshire. We started at Benson's for portraits with their gorgeous bridal parties. Seriously - these people belong on a magazine cover. After portraits we headed to the reception. Where not only was every detail amazing - you seriously felt like you were back in Mexico with them and didn't miss a moment - but they had a Pirate Ship as the bar! We set up a photobooth - where Tina showcased a beach background and awesome pirate themed props, and the guests loved it! The entrances were epic. I mean, EPIC. The bridal party entered singing "Heyyyyy baby, I wanna knowwwww - will you be my girl..." and went into a huge song and dance. THEN when the handsome groom hit the dance floor - he pointed to his gorgeous bride, who ran into his arms Dirty Dancing style and completely pulled off the most famous Baby move! I didn't know it was coming and completely LOVED it as much as the other guests! But hey, enough of my blabbering - I hope you love their photos as much as I loved taking them! Here's Tina + Pat = Married...
It's only appropriate that I post this blog as these two amazing expecting parents' lives changed for the better just last week as they welcomed their baby boy into this world. (Who I can't wait to meet, I might add!) I was fortunate to meet Cara and Greg for the first time at their shoot at the park in Merrimack. I've driven past this park a million times, and when Cara mentioned it as the location for the shoot, I said an excited YES! Little did I know that upon arriving I would fall in love with this incredible tree. When we ducked under the leaves into it's secret space it was like magic! I mean, watching Cara and Greg, there was no denying that the two were not only ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE, but they were clearly excited to be parents- a magic in itself. It was such a pleasure working with them both, and I hope you enjoy the images from their shoot!
This blog post is a genuine labor of love for me. As mentioned during their engagement shoot, Tracy (TJ) and Katie hold a very special place in my heart, as TJ is how I met my wife, Steph. TJ and Steph grew up together, and I was fortunate enough to meet TJ a number of years ago- where we built a great friendship, that eventually led me to meet the love of my life. So to watch TJ meet Katie (who I had actually met prior to their getting together), fall in like, and then in love... and to be a part of their incredible day- capturing their story in a way that they can remember it for the rest of their lives is not only an honor and privilege, but a true heart-tug for me.
These two lovely ladies were married on The Seaport Elite II, and what a perfect night they had! The gorgeous sunset, light breeze, warm weather, and seriously happy crowd who knew how to get-down on the dance floor, just made it unforgettable. As these two families became one, no detail was left untouched. From the nautical decore, to the infinity bracelets, the candy bar, and amazing caricature artist... it was so much fun. It was also a unique opportunity for me, as I got to be a guest for the latter part of the evening. So I must thank both of my amazing second photographers, Deb Muir, and Lori Valeyko for their incredible work while I got to enjoy the celebration.
Tracy and Katie, I hope that your wedding was everything you dreamt it to be, as you both deserve every moment of support, love, laughter, and happiness. May your lives together be long and full, may you always stand beside each other (never above or below), and may each day be more special than the last. Best wishes and much love to you both.
Without further ado... Tracy + Katie = Married!
When I met Vicky and Chris at Mack's Apples for their Maternity Shoot, I was so pleased at how easy the session was. These two are SO much fun. We laughed the whole time, and I couldn't have asked for an easier shoot. Their son Tucker is going to have the best sense of humor, that's for sure! Simply put, they make my heart smile at just how genuine and amazing they are, and even though I had only just met them, I know they are going to be phenomenal parents. I hope you enjoy the following photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
Working with this family was so amazing. They are simply adorable. And the new big sister did a fantastic job of selecting all the props that are highlighted in session. My only way to describe this session is "Genuinely Beautiful Love", because that's the feeling I got working with these three. They have such an incredible journey ahead of them, and I hope they enjoy every minute!
Baby C's newborn shoot was very special to me. Not just because I adore Baby C's parents, but they were also my very first wedding that I ever photographed! They've become wonderful friends of ours and we were so happy with the arrival of their gorgeous son! Baby C's mom will bring new meaning to the term "Soccer Mom" as I'm sure this handsome devil will know his way around the soccer field as soon as he knows how to crawl, forget walk! And, with his parents love for Disney, I'm sure his first trip will be as magical as ever! Absolutely loved how his shoot came out and I hope you do too. And a VERY SPECIAL HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to his amazing dad, as it's his first of many wonderful ones to come!
Kaylie and Kenny were so amazing to work with, and I couldn't have chosen better contest winners! They are so laid back, fun, and simply adorable. The little one they are about to bring into this world is extremely lucky! And what fun Oakley, their gorgeous pup, was - even when he discovered the pond... Hahaha... Despite the fact that we attempted to schedule the shoot for just when the apple blossoms were blooming in the orchard, we were just a little too soon. Still, their session at sunset was stunning, and I hope you enjoy the captures as much as I enjoyed taking them. xo
I will admit that I had no issue spoiling two of our best friends during the maternity shoot for their first child. We can't wait to meet their new addition, and I know that there will be SO MANY MORE photos to come, but for now, I hope you enjoy their gorgeous sunset session at the beach...
It was so wonderful to finally get to meet Mr. J's parents, as they have been favorite clients of my wife's for years! And after meeting them, I could see why. They are so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind- not to mention the kind of cool you'd want to have a beer with them at a bbq and laugh for hours. And their newest addition, Baby J., is so lucky to have parents like them.
It took a little bit for Baby J. to fall asleep, but once he did... man was it one of the cutest sessions I've had the pleasure to work on! I hope you enjoy his photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. Introducing Baby J....
Mr. O's mom and I grew up together in a small town in the smallest state. The thing about friends in small towns is that if you play sports, you are on the same team with the same people from grade school to high school graduation. Mr. O's mom and I played basketball together, and even though she was a grade older, she became one of my very best friends. In a small town where everyone knows everything about everyone - any personal secrets, high school crushes, anything you don't want everyone to know- you trust very few people with, and for me, she was one of them. We'd walk the track around the Softball field for hours talking about everything and anything. And when she graduated the year before me, she went to Franklin Pierce University- where she met her husband. Franklin Pierce was the first college I ever visited, and the irony is - it's where I now work, in Alumni Relations. Mr. O's mom and I have come full circle, and I love knowing that one of my oldest friends and I still get the opportunities to celebrate milestones - especially the birth of Mr. O! I hope you enjoy the many faces of Mr. O, because I know that it was one of my all time favorite shoots...
I'm not sure where to start when describing just how much I adore this couple. My wife is an old and dear friend of Michelle, Rachel's maid-of-honor and sister-in-law. When I first met Rachel, there wasn't much I didn't love about her. She's hilarious. Like, straight-up funny. In the good kind-of-way. But then, you meet Pete- and you just can't get over how nice and adorable he is, and to top it off- when you watch the two of them together your heart melts. Let's put it this way, just as I expected, I cried during their ceremony- because that's just how much I love these two. This wedding had it all - from the DIY rustic amazingness that was Rachel's pinterest inspired design, to the EPICness that was their entrance into the ceremony. Pete told Rachel just a few days before the wedding that he visioned it like a huge sports party. Now most brides would have been like- YEA RIGHT. But not Rachel. She secretly schemed to make a huge entrance with high-fives, crazy energy, and even a SIGN for Pete to run through!!! I mean, my cheeks hurt I was laughing and smiling so much.
There were so many more photos to work with but I wanted to get their blog post up before I left for California, so without further ado, I hope you get the same kind of pitter patter and heart smile we did while working this wedding, just by checking out the images below. To Rachel and Pete- may each next day of the rest of your life together be full of love, joy, and happiness. xo
This beautiful newborn was a few weeks older than I usually work with, but she turned out to be one of my favorite sessions yet. With newborns, you typically take their photos within the first two weeks of birth, as that is when they are the sleepiest and easiest to mold into those gorgeous poses that make our hearts smile. Miss M. was 10 weeks old, but what was a wonderful surprise was that we got so many gorgeous smiles and looks! She did eventually sleep, and those images were just as stunning! I hope you enjoy her blog below as much as I enjoyed the shoot! Introducing Miss M...
It was such a pleasure to meet the gorgeous Miss O. at just a week old! So curious as to what was going on, but such a sweetheart when she fell asleep. This little girl's like me and loves to sleep on her side, haha, and did she have a grip! She's going to be a fierce, beautiful, and talented little girl who I am sure will grow up way too quickly for her first time parents! I feel honored to have gotten to capture some of her first days at home, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them!
When two of our best friends in the entire world told us they were expecting - we were BEYOND proud and excited for them! And of course when Jenna stalked Pintrest for ideas, I was ready and willing to help her make those happen! I can't wait for these amazing future parents to welcome their bundle of joy to this world this summer. Stay tuned for maternity photos, and eventually newborns!
This amazing couple braved one of the warmer winter days this February - and when I say warm, I mean like 20 degrees out - to have a unique setting to capture the last months of their lives before everything is going to change for the better. Shawnasey and Chris can't wait to meet Oliver, and their excitement and immediate love for the little bundle of joy they haven't met yet just screamed through the camera. Loved working with these two and can't wait to see what their new chapter brings them...
This engagement session is extra special to me, because TJ is how I met my wife Steph. TJ and Steph grew up together, were on the same softball team, worked at the same part-time job. When TJ told us that she was dating Katie, we were thrilled because I had met Katie years before and ADORED her! After time went on, we knew these two were meant for each other. I was beyond flattered to take these photos and can't wait to celebrate with this gorgeous couple this summer!
This gorgeous girl was so wonderful to work with this fall! Seniors are so fun to meet and learn about as they are in that last year before freedom. It's great to hear about their aspirations and dreams, learn about who they want to be remembered as, and get the opportunity to give them a memory of their Senior year. I hope you enjoy Michaela's gorgeous session!
When I met Laurie on a flight back from San Francisco, I knew we would be instant friends. The flight home to New Hampshire was long enough to pretty much get "up to speed" on each others lives like we had been friends for years! And of course, as two strangers would obviously do while in discussion on a long flight, we discussed our battles and victories with love. We've stayed in touch since that flight, and I was beyond delighted to hear that she found her true love mere months later, in Alison. Planning their wedding for late this summer, Laurie and Ali wanted to schedule an engagement shoot- but also a family shoot with Laurie's three sons, and ex-husband Ken. It was such an inspiration to watch just how beautiful and different families can look these days. My hope is that you can see just what I mean in the following images... Congrats Laurie and Ali- can't wait for your special day!
